What’s in a name?

The name Findlay comes from the ancient Gaelic Fionnlagh, meaning “fair warrior” or “bright hero.”
It’s a name rooted in the Scottish Clan Farquharson, one that speaks of clarity and strength.

At the heart of the name is the word “Fionn,” meaning fair, bright, or pure — a word that also points to insight, experience, and light.

Today, that legacy continues in a different form: through clarity of thought, purposeful action, and the steady leadership of those working to make sense of complexity.

Fion Star takes its inspiration from this lineage.

It combines Fionn — for clarity and insight — with Star — a symbol of direction, guidance, and aspiration. Together, it represents an enduring philosophy.
